Riggs Road Revival brings a rhythm & roll brand of rock with more than just a touch of outlaw running through their veins.  With roots in the DC area on a street named Riggs Road the music spans multiple rock genres and several decades.  Rhythm & Roll puts more roll in the rock and more rhythm in the blues.

In the early years the duo of Dave Ries and Matt Anderson have taken the stage and cut demos under other band names.  At the heart of RRR is a spirit of adventure and exploration exemplified one summer long ago in which Dave & Matt spent two months driving coast to coast and back again in a Chevy Camaro on a road trip dubbed “The Cruise”. 

In the years between then and now Dave & Matt remained in touch and held an unspoken commitment to revive the bygone days spent jamming at a house that no longer exists, aka "The Riggs".   But this is not just about reliving the good old days of the past; it’s not just about putting the band back together and being back at The Riggs.  It’s also the story about what happened along the way and what’s happening now.  It’s the story of living larger than perhaps reality would allow, living with dreams both achieved and shattered, living with love, loss, and maybe even a few regrets.  And most importantly, it's the story of finding the road that best leads to the destination.  Perhaps, in some way, their story as told through the music & lyrics may not be so different from yours.  It’s the story of the road we’re on, the road in the rearview mirror, and the road that’s ahead.
